Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

Garnet

The ember that will not go out — passion made mineral.

The Stone

Garnet is the deep red of pomegranate seeds, and indeed the name descends from the Latin for that fruit — the crystals often cluster like glinting seeds packed in stone. The classic almandine garnet burns a rich wine-red, sometimes so dark it edges toward black until light passes through and sets it aflame. It has a glassy, near-vitreous lustre and cuts into gems that seem lit from within, holding a slow inner fire.

For millennia it has been the warrior’s and the traveller’s stone, carried as a talisman and set into the jewellery of the ancient world. There is a vitality to it, a heat you can almost feel — the stone of blood and life and appetite.

Properties

Garnet is the stone of passion and vitality. It stokes the fire of life — physical energy, courage, sensuality, the will to live fully — and is turned to when enthusiasm has drained away and the body feels grey and slow. Ruled by Mars and rooted in the lower chakras, it kindles devotion in love and in purpose, binding passion to commitment so that the fire warms rather than burns. It is called on for stamina, for regeneration after depletion, and for the steady flame of loyalty.

In Practice

Worn close to the body — a ring, a pendant over the heart or the belly — it is a daily source of warmth and drive, especially through periods of exhaustion or low spirits. Held at the root or sacral centre in meditation, it revives energy and rekindles desire, whether for a person, a project, or life itself. It has long been exchanged between lovers and companions as a pledge of enduring devotion.
