Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

Hecate

Domain: Witchcraft, crossroads, the moon, ghosts, the liminal Symbol: Torches, keys, the three-way crossroads, black dogs, the serpent Roman Equivalent: Trivia ("of the three ways")

Overview

Hecate is the goddess of witchcraft and the threshold — the power that lives wherever one road becomes three. Daughter of the Titans Perses and Asteria, she predates the Olympians and was allowed by Zeus to keep her ancient honors across earth, sea, and sky. She is often shown triple-formed, three bodies facing three directions at once, holding torches to light what is otherwise hidden. She belongs to the places between places: doorways, boundaries, the dark of the moon, the moment before a choice. To pray to her was to ask for safe passage across a line.

She is not sinister so much as unbound. She keeps company with ghosts and hounds, walks the night, and answers to no one — the tutelary spirit of anyone standing at a crossroads unsure which way to turn.

Key Myths

The witness at the abduction. When Hades carried Persephone below, Hecate alone heard the girl's cry from her cave. She came to Demeter with her torches and joined the search, and afterward became Persephone's attendant and companion in the underworld — the one goddess who moves freely between the world above and the world below.

Keeper of the keys. Hecate holds the keys to the gates between realms. As a goddess of the crossroads she is invoked at boundaries and turnings, and offerings — "Hecate's suppers" — were left for her at three-way junctions on the night of the new moon, food set out in the dark for the goddess and her dogs.

The moon's dark face. Where Selene is the full and shining moon and Artemis the crescent huntress, Hecate is the moon gone dark — the third face of the lunar triad, presiding over magic, the underworld, and the hour when the world is least visible and most porous.
