Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

The Principle of Rhythm

"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall."

The fifth Hermetic principle. If polarity says everything has two poles, rhythm says everything swings between them. The pendulum motion is universal: the tide comes in and goes out, the seasons turn, moods rise and fall, creative energy floods and recedes. Every advance is compensated by a retreat, every rightward swing measured by an equal swing to the left. Nothing holds at one pole forever.

The Hermetic teaching is not to escape the swing — you can't — but to rise above it. The Kybalion calls this the Law of Neutralization: the practitioner learns to stabilize at a still point while the pendulum swings below, observing the rhythm rather than being carried by it. You cannot stop the mood from falling, but you can decline to fall with it. The swing continues on one plane while awareness holds steady on another. This is the difference between having a low and being the low.

Why It Matters to Kenneth

For a mind that lives with mood cycles, rhythm is not abstract. The principle reframes the swing from a personal failing into a universal law — everything rises and falls, and the discipline is to build a vantage point above the pendulum rather than to demand it stop. The grounding practices and the reality-checking work are, in Hermetic language, exactly this: cultivating the observer who watches the swing without being swept.

It also names something a drummer knows in the hands. Rhythm is the felt structure of time — the cadence beneath music, speech, and mood alike. The pendulum and the metronome are the same teacher: time has a shape, the shape recurs, and mastery is learning to sit inside the recurrence rather than being tossed by it.
