Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

Bloodstone

Green as the deep wood, spotted with courage — the warrior’s quiet stone.

The Stone

Bloodstone is a dark green chalcedony freckled with vivid red — flecks and streaks of iron oxide scattered through the stone like drops of blood on moss. The old name is heliotrope, but bloodstone stuck for obvious reasons, and a medieval legend gave it a solemn origin: that it formed when drops of Christ’s blood fell on the green jasper at the foot of the cross. The green is deep and earthy, almost forest-dark, and the red spots seem to float within it, sometimes a fine spatter, sometimes bold clots of scarlet.

It is a grounding, serious stone with none of the sparkle of quartz — matte, dense, and vivid in a subdued way. To hold it is to hold something that feels old and stoic, a stone that has seen hard things and endured them.

Properties

Bloodstone is the stone of courage and vitality. Long carried by soldiers and athletes, it was believed to staunch bleeding and steel the nerve, and it is still turned to for physical strength, endurance, and the bravery to face what must be faced. Ruled by Mars, it stirs the blood in the good sense — reviving energy and grounding it through the root — while its green heart-note keeps the courage warm rather than warlike. It is also a purifier, called on to cleanse the body and spirit of what is stagnant or toxic.

In Practice

Carried through trials of stamina or fear — a race, an operation, an ordeal that demands nerve — it lends steadiness and grit. Held over the root or heart in meditation, it revives depleted energy and clears heaviness from the system. Placed in water overnight (an old folk practice) it was thought to make a strengthening, cleansing tonic for the spirit.
