Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

Essence

Ayin is the eye — and, in a doubling the tradition loves, also the spring, the fountain: the same word for what takes the world in and what wells up out of the ground. Like aleph it is silent, a guttural with no sound of its own, which suits a letter about perception rather than speech. Its number is seventy, the number of multiplicity — seventy nations, seventy languages, seventy faces of the Torah — because the eye is the organ of the many: it sees surfaces, differences, appearances, and it can be deceived by every one of them.

That is the letter's shadow and its teaching. The good eye (ayin tovah) sees generously; the evil eye sees with envy and binds what it looks at. The eye is the aperture through which the world enslaves us or through which we see it truly, and nothing but the seer decides which. A simple letter under Capricorn, the goat, its Sefer Yetzirah faculty is mirth — laughter being the eye's own medicine, the sudden seeing-through that breaks a spell.

On the Tree it is the twenty-sixth path, joining Tiphareth to Hod — beauty descending into splendour. Its trump is The Devil, Capricorn's card, the great deceiver whose chains famously hang loose enough to lift off: bondage that persists only as long as it is looked at wrongly. Ayin is where illusion and liberation share a single organ.
