Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

Five of Wands

Five sticks in the air and no one keeping score — is it a brawl, or only boys at play?

Imagery

Five young men brandish staves against a pale sky, each holding his wand at a different angle so the poles cross and clash without meeting in any clear pattern. Their tunics are mismatched in colour, their footing uneven on rough green ground. Nothing is coordinated — no two figures seem to be fighting the same fight. The composition is deliberately chaotic, energetic yet unresolved, and it is impossible to tell whether this is a genuine skirmish or a rowdy mock-battle. The feeling is friction: heat expended in scattered directions, striving without a common aim.

Upright

The Five of Wands is conflict, competition, the abrasive collision of wills. It marks the arena where egos test themselves against one another — the debate, the contest, the crowded field where everyone wants the same prize. Yet its disorder is instructive: much of the strife here is unnecessary, born of poor coordination rather than true enmity. The card can signal creative tension that sharpens, or petty squabbling that exhausts. Its invitation is to notice whether you are fighting toward something or merely flailing, and to find the discipline that turns raw contention into productive challenge.

Reversed

Reversed, the conflict either resolves or festers. At its better, tensions ease, a group finds alignment, and the noise dies down into cooperation. At its worse, avoidance lets resentment simmer beneath a false peace, or the inner argument goes silent only because one has given up the field. The shadow is strife internalised — the clamour moved inside, where no one can see it and nothing gets settled.

Correspondence

Attribute Value
Element Fire.
Decan Saturn in Leo, the first decan of Leo — Saturn's restriction grinding against Leo's exuberant fire. The Golden Dawn titled this card Strife: friction, obstruction, the heat of thwarted force.

Archetype

This is the psyche in its agonistic mode, the many sub-personalities of an inner life contending for expression. Jung's notion of the complexes — autonomous fragments each with its own charge — is vivid here; the five wands are inner voices that have not yet learned to speak in turn. To integrate them is the work of Individuation, which does not silence the competing parts but choreographs them, so that strife becomes dialogue rather than din.

Mythological Echoes

The card carries the flavour of every ritualised contest: the Greek agon, the games held to honour the dead, the mock-combats and wrestling of young warriors proving themselves. It echoes the squabbling of the Olympians, gods forever at cross-purposes, and the trickster-energy that thrives on stirring up unresolved commotion.

In Practice

When this card appears, ask whether the fight is real or merely habitual. Much conflict dissolves the moment someone names the shared goal. Journal on where your energy is being spent against others when it might be aimed alongside them.
