enable support in requests.

Jon Dufresne e8205c0131 Trim trialing white space throughout the project 
Many editors clean up trailing white space on save. By removing it all
in one go, it helps keep future diffs cleaner by avoiding spurious white
space changes on unrelated lines.

Ian Cordasco 52a2efa2ae Avoid verifying the README.rst on Python 2.6 
readme-render does not appear to support Python 2.6. This causes tests to fail
on Travis' 2.6 environment.
