It has several hundred forks and a lot of possibilities for use. The reasons for the forks are mainly becuase the root does not do everything that everyone wants it to do. This is actually the beauty of open source right. You can take same that someone else has done and turn it into something useful for you. Then if its truly open-source your changes could be used by someone else and the cloning continues. Use at your own risk though, serously!
