Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

# Dominions
> *They hold the scepter, yet never lift their eyes from the throne.*
---
## The Choir
With the Dominions begins the Second Sphere, the great middle order of angels charged not with the immediate contemplation of God but with the governance of creation on His behalf. Their name comes from the Latin *dominus*, lord, translating the Greek *kyriotetes* — the “lordships” or “dominations” that Paul lists among the invisible powers in Ephesians and Colossians, where all rule and authority and dominion are said to have been created in Christ and subjected to him. Also called Lordships, the Dominions are the celestial administrators, the regulators who receive the mandate of authority from the Thrones above and distribute the duties of heaven downward through the ranks.
They are said to appear crowned and bearing an orb or a scepter, sometimes with a light-emitting globe at the head of a staff, insignia of the delegated sovereignty they wield — not as tyrants but as stewards, forever mindful that the power they exercise is lent and not owned. In the vision of Pseudo-Dionysius, their lordship consists precisely in their perfect freedom from the tyranny of lesser desire, a mastery so complete that it becomes the very definition of divine order. They rule, in other words, because they have first been ruled; their command is only the overflow of their obedience.
The office of the Dominions is to mediate the will of God to the lower choirs and to see that the machinery of the cosmos runs according to the pattern held above. They rarely make themselves known to human beings, working instead at the level of principle and structure, integrating the labors of the Virtues, Powers, and the whole third sphere into a single coherent obedience. Theirs is the art of command that never forgets its source: they rule by receiving, and their authority is measured by their unbroken attention to the throne from which it flows. In them heaven’s justice, born among the Thrones, becomes administration — the steady, invisible governance by which the love of the highest is translated into the order of the world.

## In the Tradition
Pseudo-Dionysius derived the name of the Dominions from a lordship free and unfettered, superior to all servile abasement, drawing the lower orders toward the true Lord and stamping upon them the likeness of his rule. Gregory the Great and Aquinas kept them at the head of the middle triad, the choir that appoints and directs what the ranks beneath them carry out — the difference between the one who commands a work and the ones who perform it. Aquinas noted that to “dominate” is to preside over subjects as their governor, and so this order presides over the whole active administration of the cosmos without descending to its particular tasks. The Dominions thus stand as the bridge between contemplation and action: they gaze upward with the first sphere and legislate downward for the third, holding the scepter of a power whose only justification is the throne it never stops beholding.
