Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

# Turquoise
> *The colour of sky held in stone, carried across five thousand years.*

## The Stone
Turquoise is one of the oldest gemstones known to humankind — worn by pharaohs and Persian kings, set into the sky-blue jewellery of the American Southwest, threaded through the burial goods of the ancient dead. Its colour is unmistakable: a robin’s-egg blue-green, sometimes even and pure, more often veined with the brown or black “matrix” of the host rock, a spidering web that jewellers prize as a signature of the earth it came from.
It is a soft, porous stone, and it lives with its wearer — absorbing oils, sunlight and time until the colour shifts and deepens. An old piece of turquoise carries the record of every hand that held it, which is part of why it has always felt less like an ornament than a companion.

## Properties
Turquoise is the stone of communication and healing, a master of the throat chakra. It loosens the tongue for honest, kind speech and helps the wearer say the true thing without cruelty. Across countless cultures it has served as a protective amulet — a guardian for travellers, warriors and riders — and it is still turned to as an ancient shield against harm. It is also a stone of wholeness, said to soothe the nerves and knit body and spirit into a calmer, more integrated whole.
## In Practice
Worn at the throat or wrist, it supports clear expression and stands guard through the day. It has long been given as a stone of friendship and protection, offered rather than bought for its fullest effect. Because it is soft and porous, it is kept away from perfume, oils and prolonged water, and cleansed only by gentle, dry means.
