Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

# Three of Cups
> *Joy is what a full cup does when it finds other cups.*
---
## Imagery
Three women stand in a ring, lifting their cups toward the center in a toast, their arms interlaced in a dance. The ground around them is fertile and fruiting — a pumpkin, grapes, the produce of harvest scattered at their feet. They wear garlands and flowing robes, and their circle is closed and complete, a small commonwealth of gladness. The gesture is one of shared celebration, the overflow of the [Ace of Cups](/knowledge/tarot/minor-arcana/ace-of-cups) finally multiplied and passed around a company of friends.
## Upright
The Three of Cups is community, friendship, celebration, and the abundance that only feeling can create when it is shared. It marks reunions, festivals, the healing that happens in good company, the moment when private joy becomes collective. Where the [Two of Cups](/knowledge/tarot/minor-arcana/two-of-cups) is intimate union, the Three widens the circle — this is love as belonging, gratitude expressed in the presence of others. It blesses collaboration and the sweetness of being witnessed in one’s happiness.
## Reversed
Inverted, the circle sours or closes wrongly. This can be excess — celebration tipping into indulgence, the party that never ends because no one can bear the silence after. It may mark gossip, the third who divides rather than binds, or a fading of once-warm friendships. Sometimes it points to isolation, the ache of watching others celebrate from outside the ring, or a community that has become an escape from the self rather than a nourishing of it.
## Correspondence
| Attribute | Value |
| --- | --- |
| **Element** | Water. |
| **Decan** | Mercury in Cancer — the second decan of Cancer. |
| **Golden Dawn title** | the Lord of Abundance. Mercury’s quicksilver exchange flowing through Cancer’s nurturing waters. |
## Archetype
Here the psyche discovers that individuation is not solitude. The circle of three is the human community as a container for feeling, the place where the personal is mirrored and made real by belonging. Jung understood that the Self is realized in relationship as much as in retreat; the Three of Cups is the tribe, the coven, the chosen family in which one’s deeper nature is safely reflected. Joy, it insists, is a communal art.
## Mythological Echoes
Three dancing women recall the Graces of Greek myth — Aglaia, Euphrosyne, and Thalia — who bestowed charm, mirth, and abundance. They echo the triple goddess of the Moon in her fullness, the fates and norns whose linked hands weave collective destiny, and every harvest festival where wine and gratitude are poured out together. Across traditions, the number three completes and the shared cup sanctifies.
## In Practice
When this card arrives, it asks you to gather, to celebrate, to let others in on your gladness. Journal on who your true circle is — and whether you have been keeping your joy, or your grief, too private.
