Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

## The Archangel
Haniel is the angel of love, beauty, and harmony, and of all the archangels the one who wears the softest light. The name is usually rendered “Grace of God” or “Joy of God,” from the Hebrew *chen* — grace, favour, loveliness — and the whole character of the angel flows from that root. Where Michael commands and Gabriel announces, Haniel simply delights, presiding over pleasure and affection, over art and music and the quiet sensory gladness of an evening. She is associated with the twilight and the evening star, with the moment when the harsh clarity of day yields to a gentler radiance and the world grows tender. In the tradition she is invoked for love and for beauty, but also for the cultivation of the inner life, for the refinement of feeling into something worthy of the divine.
Her planet is Venus, and everything Venusian belongs to her: desire and its sublimation, the attraction that binds the atoms of a friendship or a marriage, the instinct that makes a hand reach for green leaves and a flowering branch. She governs the sphere of victory — not the victory of the battlefield but the victory of the enduring impulse, the persistence of longing, the green and growing force of nature that will not be denied. In iconography she is robed in emerald and rose, crowned with flowers, a lamp or a lantern in her hand, her expression one of grave sweetness. To draw near to Haniel is to be reminded that harmony is not weakness, that gentleness is a discipline, and that beauty is one of the true names of God.
## Scripture and Tradition
Like Uriel, Haniel does not appear in the canonical scriptures under that name, belonging rather to the mystical and Kabbalistic streams of the tradition. Some scholars connect the name to the Hebrew *hana’el* and to the tribe of Asher, whose blessing in Genesis promises that “his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties” — the abundance and delight over which a Venusian angel might fittingly preside. The apocryphal Book of Enoch numbers a “Hanael” among the great angels, and the medieval grimoires and books of correspondence firmly established him among the seven archangels of the planets, ruler of Venus and its Friday. In some tellings it is Haniel who carried the patriarch Enoch up into heaven before his final transfiguration, a gentle office of ascent that suits the angel of grace. Occult tradition made him the guardian of the third of the seven heavens and the patron of artists, lovers, and all who work to make the world more beautiful.
In the Kabbalistic scheme Haniel presides over [Netzach](/knowledge/tree-of-life/netzach), the seventh sphere, the seat of victory, endurance, and the green force of nature, ruled by Venus and radiant with the persistence of desire. His day is Friday, Venus’s day, and his element the harmonising, binding power of that planet, which draws separate things into loving relation. His colours are emerald and rose, the green of the growing world and the flush of the evening sky, and his emblems the lamp, the flower, the rose, and the mirror. To invoke Haniel is to call upon the faculty that loves and delights — the attraction that binds, the longing that endures, and the sense of beauty by which the soul recognises the divine in the visible world.
