Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes, 67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer. - scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault: slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion list plus a privacy guard. - tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note (capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other pages get a Related Knowledge block. - Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

## Essence
|
||
|
||
Cancer arrives with the summer solstice, at the sun’s highest turning, and yet its element is water and its ruler the Moon — a sign of tides beneath the brightest day. This is cardinal water, the initiating force of feeling, and it governs the tender heart of early summer when the world is full and warm and the instinct is to gather everyone close. The Crab is the archetype of the home, the mother, the keeper of the hearth and of memory, the one who remembers what everyone else has let slip.

Ruled by the Moon, Cancer moves in cycles and depends on mood the way the sea depends on the sky. Its hard outer shell guards a soft interior of enormous sensitivity; the Crab feels everything, absorbs the emotional weather of any room, and protects itself by retreating sideways rather than confronting. To be loved by a Cancer is to be remembered, fed, and defended — held inside the shell where the tender things are kept.

At its best, Cancer is the deepest nurturer of the zodiac — intuitive, protective, loyal past all reason, the one who makes a place feel like belonging. Its emotional intelligence is a kind of sonar, reading needs no one has spoken. But the tides that give it depth can also drown it. The Crab can cling, smother, and manipulate through guilt; it can nurse old wounds until resentment calcifies, and retreat into its shell so far that no one can reach it. The Chariot, its unlikely trump, holds the secret: the soft heart must learn to steer, to carry its sensitivity forward with will rather than being swept wherever the mood carries it. Cancer’s work is to protect without imprisoning, and to feel deeply without being ruled.
