Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

Air

The mind is the one wind that can turn to look at itself.

The Element

Air is the element of thought — the medium of distinction, connection, and the restless movement between one idea and another. It is hot and wet: hot because it is active, expansive, always in motion; wet because it joins and carries, bearing scent and sound and speech from one place to another. Air is the invisible element, known only by its effects — the leaf that stirs, the voice that reaches, the breath that makes a living body different from a corpse. It is the least material of the four and the most quick.

As a mode of being, Air is intellect, communication, and mind. It is the faculty that separates in order to understand — that names, distinguishes, and weighs. Where Water feels the whole at once, Air divides the whole into parts it can hold up to the light. Its instrument is language; its gift is clarity, perspective, the cool altitude from which patterns become visible. Its shadow is the same detachment turned cruel — thought severed from feeling, the blade that cuts and cannot heal. Air asks whether you can think clearly without losing your heart.

Across the Traditions

In tarot, Air commands the suit of Swords — the blades of intellect, conflict, and truth, the cards that cut through illusion at the cost of comfort. In Astrology it forms the airy triplicity of Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius: the cardinal wind that connects, the fixed sky that holds an idea, the mutable current that scatters thought across the whole of humankind. Plato gave Air the Octahedron, poised and mobile among the Platonic Solids, spinning freely on its axis as thought turns from one view to the next. In Alchemy Air is the volatile principle, the sublimatio that rises and refines, drawn as the upward triangle crossed by a bar — aspiration tempered by matter. Among the Chakras it gathers at Anahata, the heart centre, where breath and love meet and the mind learns to serve something larger than itself. Across every system Air remains the same: the principle of relation, the space in which things are told apart and, by being told apart, understood.
