kennethreitz ce93f429a2 Add Knowledge: the vault's reference shelf, crosslinked across the site
Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

Drag Paradiddle No. 2

Two drags in, and the paradiddle carries them both.

The Rudiment

Drag Paradiddle #2 is the denser sequel to Drag Paradiddle #1. It keeps the accented lead-in and the dragged paradiddle but adds a second drag, so the figure carries two ruffs instead of one before the pattern resolves. The extra drag thickens the phrase and demands cleaner, back-to-back grace-note control, making it the more advanced of the pair and a favorite proving ground for a player’s drags.

Sticking

Drag Paradiddle #2 is conventionally written with an accented lead-in and two drags folded into the paradiddle: R llRR llRLRR in one common form, mirrored as L rrLL rrLRLL on the reverse. The uppercase opening stroke is the accented pickup; each pair of lowercase strokes is a drag, and the accented primaries and diddle carry the paradiddle shape. Notated versions differ more here than in most rudiments, so hold onto the essential idea — an accented pickup and two drags woven into a paradiddle — rather than any single fixed count.

How to Play

The whole difficulty is the two drags: both must stay low, crisp, and even, and the transition between them can’t rush or collapse. Pop the accented lead-in, keep each ruff quiet as a controlled double, and let the closing diddle rebound into the next repetition. This one rewards patient, slow practice more than almost any other drag rudiment — get both drags matched and clean before reaching for tempo.

In Practice

Drag Paradiddle #2 is a showpiece of rudimental snare literature, its stacked drags adding weight and tension to solos and cadences. On the drum set its ornaments and accents orchestrate into a dramatic, dragged fill. Together with Drag Paradiddle #1, it completes a two-rudiment study in placing drags inside the paradiddle.
