Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes, 67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer. - scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault: slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion list plus a privacy guard. - tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note (capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other pages get a Related Knowledge block. - Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

## The Mode
Mixolydian is the fifth mode of the major scale, beginning on its fifth degree. Built on C it draws from F major, which flattens a single note — the seventh. That lowered seventh is the only thing separating Mixolydian from the plain major scale, but it pulls the mode out of the concert hall and into the roadhouse.

The effect is major-sounding yet relaxed and earthy, bright without the formal pull toward home that a leading tone provides. It is the sound of the dominant seventh chord spread out into a scale — bluesy, groove-ready, and just a little loose at the edges.

## Character
Everything hinges on the flattened seventh. In Ionian the seventh is a leading tone that strains upward toward the tonic, demanding resolution; lower it and that tension evaporates. The scale keeps its major third and its cheerful outlook but loses the tug home, so it sits comfortably on a single chord without needing to move. That gives Mixolydian its relaxed, swaggering, open-ended feel — happy but unhurried, with one foot in the blues.

## In Practice
Mixolydian is everywhere in rock, blues, funk, and jam music — any groove that rides a dominant chord or refuses a strong cadence is likely here. It defines the sound of countless Celtic and folk tunes as well, and much of the classic-rock and Grateful Dead vocabulary. When a riff feels bright yet bluesy and never quite resolves, the flat seventh is why.
