Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes, 67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer. - scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault: slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion list plus a privacy guard. - tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note (capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other pages get a Related Knowledge block. - Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

## Overview
Thoth is the ibis-headed god of writing, wisdom, and magic — the scribe of the gods and the inventor of the written word. He is the keeper of the sacred texts and the spells within them, the measurer of time who reckoned the calendar into being, the arbiter who settles disputes among the gods by the authority of knowledge rather than force. As the god of the moon he governs the night's lesser light and its cycles, and as the master of language he holds the words of power on which even the other gods depend. Where [Ra](/knowledge/mythology/egyptian-mythology/ra) is the blazing certainty of the sun, Thoth is the reflective, calculating intelligence of the moon.

He is the tarot's [The Magician](/knowledge/tarot/major-arcana/the-magician): the one who wields the word, the will that shapes reality through knowledge and craft, the channel between the divine and the manifest. In later ages the Greeks identified him with their own [Hermes](/knowledge/mythology/greek-mythology/hermes), and the fusion produced Hermes Trismegistus — "thrice-great Hermes" — the legendary sage to whom the [Hermetic](/knowledge/spirituality/hermeticism) writings were attributed, the founder-figure of magic, alchemy, and astrology in the Western esoteric tradition. Through that identification Thoth became one of the deepest roots of the occult imagination.

## Key Myths
**The inventor of writing.** Thoth gave humankind the written word, the scribe's craft, and the arts of number, measurement, and reckoning. In one tale he offers writing to a king as a remedy for forgetting; the king warns it may weaken memory instead. The gift of the letter cuts both ways.
**The arbiter of the gods.** When [Horus](/knowledge/mythology/egyptian-mythology/horus) and [Set](/knowledge/mythology/egyptian-mythology/set) contended for the throne, Thoth served as the impartial judge and recorder, weighing arguments and setting down the verdict. In the Hall of Two Truths he records the outcome of the weighing of the heart. He is the neutral intelligence at the center of every reckoning.
**The healer and magician.** Thoth's words of power restored the eye of [Horus](/knowledge/mythology/egyptian-mythology/horus) and aided [Isis](/knowledge/mythology/egyptian-mythology/isis) in her magic. His spells are the instruments by which order is repaired and the dead are equipped for their journey. Knowledge, in him, is not idle — it acts.
