Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes, 67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer. - scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault: slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion list plus a privacy guard. - tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note (capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other pages get a Related Knowledge block. - Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

## Overview
Minerva is the Roman goddess of wisdom, strategic warfare, and the arts — a virgin goddess who joins clear counsel to skilled making. Together with [Jupiter](/knowledge/mythology/roman-mythology/jupiter) and [Juno](/knowledge/mythology/roman-mythology/juno) she formed the Capitoline Triad, the three deities worshipped in the great temple on the Capitoline Hill at the center of Roman public religion, and in some accounts she is the daughter of Jupiter, born from his head fully armed. She bears the owl of wisdom, the olive she is said to have given to humankind, the spear, and the aegis with its Gorgon's head — attributes taken over from her Greek counterpart [Athena](/knowledge/mythology/greek-mythology/athena).

Where Athena is above all the patroness of the polis and of heroes, Minerva's protection reached widely into the practical and professional life of Rome. She was honored as Minerva Medica, "the Healer," patroness of physicians, and under aspects that linked her to the crafts and to the schools. Craftsmen and professionals of every kind — fullers and dyers, shoemakers and sculptors, painters and doctors, teachers and their students — placed themselves under her care, so that she was as much the goddess of the workshop and the schoolroom as of counsel in war.

Her chief festival, the Quinquatrus or Quinquatria, ran for five days from March 19th to 23rd. Schools closed and students brought gifts to their teachers in her honor, while the trade guilds she protected held their own observances; on the last days the festival took on a martial character with gladiatorial displays fitting her warlike side. A shorter festival of the flute-players, likewise under her patronage, fell in June.

The contrast with Athena is one of emphasis rather than substance. Minerva keeps the wisdom and the strategic, defensive warfare of the Greek goddess but leans further toward crafts, commerce, and the arts, becoming a notably civic and practical deity — the divine sponsor of every trade that required skill, learning, and discipline, while remaining, like Athena, forever a virgin.
