Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

The Pleroma

The fullness — where nothing is missing, because everything that is, is light.

Overview

The Pleroma (Greek plērōma, "fullness" or "completeness") is the divine realm in Gnostic cosmology — the totality of the true God's self-expression, populated by the emanations called The Aeons. It is not a place in the ordinary sense but a condition: the state in which the divine is whole, undivided, and lacking nothing. Everything below it — the material cosmos, the world we wake up in each morning — is a deficiency by comparison, a falling-away from this fullness. To speak of the Pleroma is to speak of home, in the exact sense that the Gnostic soul is far from it.

The Bythos and the Unknowable Father

At the source of the Pleroma stands the Bythos — the "Depth" or "Abyss" — the unknowable Father, the first principle before whom even language falters. This God is not the creator of the world; that job falls, disastrously, to a lesser being (see The Demiurge). The true Father is beyond name, beyond gender, beyond the reach of thought, so hidden that he is sometimes called the Forefather or the Pre-Beginning. The apophatic instinct here — describing God only by what he is not — runs parallel to Kabbalah's Ein Sof, the limitless before the Tree of Life, and to Vedanta's Brahman beyond all attributes. Different traditions circling the same unspeakable center.

From the Depth, paired with Sige (Silence) or Ennoia (Thought), the emanations begin to unfold. The Father does not create so much as overflow; the aeons are his self-knowledge given personhood, the divine mind contemplating itself and finding, in that contemplation, an entire population of light.

The Kenoma Below

The Pleroma has a shadow, and its name is the kenoma — the "emptiness," the region of deficiency outside the fullness. Where the Pleroma is completeness, the kenoma is lack; where the Pleroma is light, the kenoma is the space into which light is not. The material world belongs to the kenoma. It is what happens when a fragment of the fullness falls out of it — when Sophia, the youngest aeon, ruptures the harmony and her passion spills beyond the boundary into the void below.

This is the essential Gnostic geography: fullness above, emptiness below, and a scattered light that must find its way back up. Salvation, in this map, is not a moral achievement but a homecoming — the return of what fell to the place where nothing is missing.

  • The Aeons — the emanations that populate the fullness
  • Sophia — the youngest aeon, whose fall opens the emptiness below
  • The Demiurge — the false creator who shapes the kenoma into a world
  • Gnosis — the knowledge by which the fallen light remembers the Pleroma
  • Gnosticism — the collection this note belongs to
  • Kabbalah — Ein Sof and the emanationist descent into matter
  • Tree of Life — a parallel ladder from the infinite to the manifest
  • Spirituality — the wider domain
