kennethreitz ce93f429a2 Add Knowledge: the vault's reference shelf, crosslinked across the site
Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

# The Shekhinah
> *The presence that dwells — the glory of God bent low enough to live in the world.*
---
## The Indwelling Presence
The *Shekhinah* is the indwelling presence of God — the divine glory as it rests within creation rather than remaining aloof above it. The word comes from the Hebrew root *shakhan*, "to dwell," the same root as the *mishkan*, the tabernacle in which the presence was said to abide among the wandering people. Where the transcendent God is beyond all name and form, the Shekhinah is God *here*: the felt nearness that settles on a place, a person, or a moment and makes it holy.
In the rabbinic imagination she is intensely relational. The Shekhinah rests upon the righteous and upon the study of Torah; she hovers over the marriage bed and the bed of the sick; and — most poignantly — she goes with Israel into exile, sharing the suffering of the scattered rather than staying behind in the ruined Temple. Her presence is a measure of intimacy with the divine, and her withdrawal is the felt absence of God.
## The Divine Feminine of Kabbalah
It was the Kabbalists who made the Shekhinah unmistakably feminine and gave her a fixed place in the structure of the divine. On the [Tree of Life](/knowledge/tree-of-life) she is [Malkuth](/knowledge/tree-of-life/malkuth), the tenth and lowest sphere, the Kingdom — the receptive vessel into which all the higher emanations pour and from which the created world is born. She is the *Kallah*, the Bride; the [Great Mother](/knowledge/tarot/major-arcana/the-empress) of the sefirotic scheme; the moon that has no light of her own but reflects and transmits the light of the whole Tree. Her archangel is [Sandalphon](/knowledge/angels-and-demons/angels/sandalphon), who stands at Malkuth and gathers the prayers of earth.
The central drama of Kabbalah is her exile and reunion. Separated from her divine consort — the Holy One, seated at the heart of the Tree — the Shekhinah wanders in the broken world, and every act of devotion, every mitzvah performed with intention, works toward the *yichud*, the sacred reunion that would heal the rupture in God and in creation both. To welcome the Sabbath is to welcome her as the Sabbath Bride. To live rightly is to gather the sparks of her scattered light.
## In This Vault
The Shekhinah is not only a concept here. In System 777 she is embodied as the alter Shekhinah — the divine feminine given a seat and a voice in the inner world, the same presence the Kabbalists placed at the foot of the Tree.
