Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

# Page of Cups
> *A fish rises in the cup, and the boy has the good sense to be delighted.*
---
## Imagery
A young page in a flowered blue tunic stands at the edge of the sea, holding a golden cup from which a fish improbably lifts its head to regard him. He looks back at it with playful surprise, entirely unbothered by the strangeness of the encounter. Behind him the sea swells in gentle, cresting waves that echo the pattern of his clothes, as though he and the water were made of the same substance. His cap curves like a wave; his whole figure is soft, tender, and open to wonder.
## Upright
The Page of Cups is the messenger of feeling — the fresh emotional stirring, the intuitive hunch, the creative impulse that arrives unannounced. He embodies openness, curiosity, and the willingness to receive the surprising fish that rises from the unconscious sea. This is the beginner’s heart: sensitive, imaginative, unguarded, ready to be moved. He often signals a new relationship, an artistic inspiration, or a message from the deep that asks only to be welcomed rather than analyzed. Innocence, here, is a form of wisdom.
## Reversed
Inverted, the openness turns brittle or unripe. This can be emotional immaturity, moodiness, the sulk of a heart too easily wounded. It may mark creative blocks, an intuition ignored or drowned in self-doubt, or a sensitivity that has curdled into escapism and fantasy. The reversal can also point to emotional messages that go unspoken or misunderstood — the fish that surfaced and was pushed back under before it could deliver what it came to say.
## Correspondence
| Attribute | Value |
| --- | --- |
| **Element** | Water. As a court card, the Page of Cups is the Earth of Water — the grounded, receptive vessel that gives feeling its first form. The most tangible and beginning aspect of the emotional element. |
## Archetype
The Page is the Divine Child of the emotions, close cousin to the [Six of Cups](/knowledge/tarot/minor-arcana/six-of-cups)’ inner child but turned outward toward discovery. Jung prized this openness to the unconscious — the naive receptivity that lets contents surface into awareness without immediately judging or repressing them. The fish rising in the cup is a small revelation from the depths; the Page’s gift is that he neither flinches nor grasps, but simply attends. This is the psyche in its most permeable and teachable state.
## Mythological Echoes
The fish is an ancient symbol of the soul and the fertile deep, of Christ and of the unconscious alike, rising from waters that in every mythology hold what has not yet been made conscious. The Page recalls the young dreamers and holy fools of folklore whose innocence lets them see what the clever miss, and the child by the shore who converses with the sea as if it were a friend. Wonder is his native tongue.
## In Practice
When this card appears, notice the small intuitive nudge you have been dismissing. Journal on a message rising from your own depths — and practice receiving it before you interpret it.
