Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

Hematite

Heavy as a held breath, and just as steadying.

The Stone

Hematite is iron ore made beautiful — a metallic grey-black stone with a mirror polish so bright it can throw back your own face. Its name comes from the Greek for blood, because ground to powder it runs red, and its streak on unglazed porcelain is a startling rust. Tumbled and buffed, it has a cool, mercury-like sheen and a weight in the palm that surprises everyone the first time; for its size it is remarkably, reassuringly heavy.

That density is its whole character. Hematite feels serious. It does not shimmer or play with light like the quartzes; it simply sits there, dark and mirror-bright, a small anchor of iron.

Properties

Hematite is the great grounder. When thought races and the body feels light and unmoored, it pulls the energy down through the root and back into the earth, a magnetic anchor for a scattered mind. It is used for focus, for absorbing anxiety, for the sense of being present in one’s own weight. Ruled by Mars and Saturn, it lends discipline and boundary — the ability to hold a line and stay in the body while doing it. Many use it as a protective shield that turns disorder aside and keeps the wearer collected.

In Practice

Held in each hand or placed at the feet during meditation, it draws overactive energy downward and settles the nervous system. Worn as a ring or bracelet, it is a discreet all-day anchor for people who live too much in their heads. Because it can absorb a great deal, it benefits from regular cleansing — though never in water, which will rust it.
