kennethreitz ce93f429a2 Add Knowledge: the vault's reference shelf, crosslinked across the site
Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

# Vesica Piscis
> *Where two circles overlap, a doorway opens — the almond through which all shapes are born.*

## The Form
The Vesica Piscis is the shape formed where two circles of equal radius overlap so that each passes through the center of the other. The lens-shaped region of their intersection — pointed at both ends, swollen in the middle, the almond or fish that gives the figure its name — is the simplest of all generated forms, requiring only two circles and a single relationship between them. Yet from that meager beginning an enormous amount follows. The two centers and the two points of intersection form the vertices of two equilateral triangles; the width and height of the lens stand in ratios that encode the square roots of three and other root proportions fundamental to geometry.
Because it arises the moment one circle is repeated beside another, the Vesica Piscis appears at the first overlap of the Seed of Life and reappears throughout the Flower of Life. It is the seam where duplication becomes generation, the crossing that turns two circles into the seed of every straight-edged figure to come.
## Correspondences
| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Construction | Two equal circles, each through the other's center |
| Shape | Pointed oval (lens, almond) |
| Generates | Equilateral triangle, root ratios |
| Appears in | Seed of Life, Flower of Life |
| Symbolism | Womb of form, union of two |
## Meaning
The Vesica Piscis is read almost universally as a womb and a threshold, the space between two circles where new form gestates. It is the union of opposites — two identical worlds overlapping to bring forth a third region that belongs to neither alone — and from that region the triangle and the sacred ratios are drawn, making it the mother of the geometric figures. In [Alchemy](/knowledge/alchemy) the joining of two into a fertile third is the very grammar of the work, the conjunction from which the new substance issues. As the first overlap within the [Flower of Life](/knowledge/sacred-geometry/flower-of-life), the Vesica Piscis is where multiplicity is conceived, the doorway between the one and the many.
