Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes, 67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer. - scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault: slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion list plus a privacy guard. - tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note (capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other pages get a Related Knowledge block. - Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

## Imagery
A hand emerges from a cloud on the right side of the card, gripping a living wand — a rough branch still sprouting green leaves that fall away like sparks or Hebrew yods. The gesture is one of offering rather than command. Below, a green landscape rolls toward a distant castle on a hill, a river winding through it. The scene is spare and bright, uncluttered, the whole composition arranged so that the eye rises with the torch. The feeling is of sudden vitality — the moment before ignition, when nothing has happened yet but everything is possible.

## Upright
The Ace of Wands is the seed of fire: raw creative energy, inspiration, the first flush of desire before it takes shape. It is the impulse to begin — a new venture, a passion, a burst of sexual or spiritual vigour that arrives unbidden and asks to be acted upon. This card does not promise completion, only the gift of a starting flame. To receive it is to feel life quicken. The invitation is to seize the wand while it is still green and let enthusiasm carry you into motion.

## Reversed
Inverted, the spark sputters. Inspiration arrives but finds no dry tinder — motivation stalls, projects are conceived and abandoned, energy scatters without direction. It can mark creative blockage, a delayed launch, or desire that fizzles before it can catch. Sometimes it warns of false starts driven by restlessness rather than true calling. The shadow here is potential left ungrounded, the torch held aloft but never touched to anything real.

| **Element** | Fire, in its purest and most primal form. |
| **Title** | the Root of the Powers of Fire — the suit's seed and origin, the whole element compressed into a single gesture before it divides into the numbered cards. |

## Archetype
As an archetype the Ace is pure libido in the Jungian sense — psychic energy itself, undifferentiated, prior to any object it might attach to. It is the creative daimon that visits without warning, the sudden yes that precedes all conscious planning. To meet it well is to trust the upsurge without demanding it justify itself, for [Individuation](/knowledge/psychology/jungian/individuation) begins not with a plan but with an appetite for life that insists on expression.

## Mythological Echoes
Every fire-theft myth lives in this hand: Prometheus carrying the stolen ember in a fennel stalk, Agni the Vedic fire-god who is both flame and messenger, the burning bush that spoke without being consumed. The wand recalls the thyrsus of Dionysus and the caduceus alike — a living rod that channels the divine spark into the mortal world.

## In Practice
When this card appears, something wants to be born through you. Ask: what has been quickening lately that you have been too cautious to name? Where do you feel heat? The Ace rewards those who act while the leaves are still green.
