Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

Two of Cups

Two vessels lifted, and between them a thing neither could hold alone.

Imagery

A man and a woman stand facing each other, each raising a cup, exchanging a pledge across the small distance between them. Above and between their gazes rises the caduceus of Hermes, its twin serpents coiled around a winged staff, crowned by the red lion’s head of Leo — a symbol of desire raised to something higher. The ground beneath them is green and level, a meeting of equals. Everything in the image bends toward that central axis where two become a shared field.

Upright

This is the card of union — love, partnership, mutual recognition, the alchemy of two natures meeting as peers. Where the Ace of Cups is love as pure source, the Two is love made relational, feeling that has found its answering other. It speaks of attraction and reconciliation, of contracts sealed with the heart rather than the pen, of the moment when connection becomes covenant. It carries the promise of the The Lovers at an intimate, human scale.

Reversed

Inverted, the exchange falters. This is imbalance, a partnership where one gives and the other only takes, or the rupture of a bond once mutual. It can mark miscommunication, broken trust, or the disharmony that creeps in when two people stop truly seeing each other. Sometimes it points inward — a failure of self-love that no other person can supply, the cups tilting until the water runs out between them.

Correspondence

Attribute Value
Element Water.
Decan Venus in Cancer — the first decan of Cancer.
Golden Dawn title the Lord of Love. Venus, planet of union, softened in the tender, protective sign of the Moon.

Archetype

Jung placed the coniunctio — the sacred marriage of opposites — at the heart of the psyche’s work. The Two of Cups is its human prelude: the meeting of masculine and feminine, conscious and unconscious, self and other, as a mutual and voluntary exchange. It is projection made honest, the anima and Animus recognized across the space between two people. In relationship we glimpse the inner union that Individuation finally asks us to make within.

Mythological Echoes

The caduceus names Hermes, messenger and reconciler, the god who moves between worlds to make exchange possible. The image echoes every marriage of gods — the hieros gamos of Greek ritual, the wedding of heaven and earth. It recalls Eros and Psyche, love that must be recognized face to face to survive, and the countless myths in which a shared cup binds two fates into one.

In Practice

When this card appears, attend to a specific bond. Is the exchange mutual? Journal on where you meet another as a true equal — and where you are still waiting to be seen.
