Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

# Thrones
> *The chariots of the Most High, upon which He is seated in judgment.*

## The Choir
The Thrones complete the First Sphere, the innermost triad that dwells in perpetual nearness to God. Their name is drawn straight from the furniture of heaven: the Greek *thronoi*, the seats of majesty, and in the Hebrew imagination the *Ophanim*, the “wheels” of Ezekiel’s vision — blazing rings of fire rimmed with countless eyes, turning in perfect accord with the will they carry. Paul names them explicitly among the invisible powers created in Christ, writing that in him were made all things, “whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers.” Where the Seraphim embody love and the Cherubim wisdom, the Thrones are the seat of divine justice and authority — the very throne upon which the judgment of God rests.
They are humility made cosmic: their glory is not their own but is the glory of the One who is enthroned upon them, and in bearing that weight without pride they model the submission through which true authority is exercised. Daniel’s night vision supplies their scriptural setting, for he sees the thrones set in place and the Ancient of Days take his seat, his throne a flame of fire and its wheels burning fire, while thousands upon thousands minister before him and the books are opened. The Thrones are the place where that scene becomes permanent — the living seat of a judgment that never adjourns.
To the Thrones the tradition assigns the contemplation of God’s justice and the ordering of that justice toward the created world. They receive the illumination of the Cherubim and shape it into the steady, impartial equity by which all things are weighed. From them, the medieval hierarchs taught, the second sphere below draws its mandate to govern, for authority in heaven descends from the place where God sits in judgment. Still and immovable in their fixity upon the divine, the Thrones are nonetheless the point of pivot between the pure contemplation of the highest angels and the active governance of the choirs that regulate creation.

## In the Tradition
Pseudo-Dionysius describes the Thrones as utterly removed from all that is base, borne upward beyond every earthly thing, established immovably about the true summit and receptive of the divine indwelling — vessels so free of self that God may rest upon them. Aquinas, in the *Summa*, linked the choir to divine judgment: the Thrones are named because through them God accomplishes his judgments, and just as an earthly judge is known by his seat, so this order signifies the mind laid open and ready for the sentences of God. Gregory the Great and the later hierarchs kept them as the hinge of the first sphere, where the burning love above and the ruling order below are reconciled in a single seat of glory. In art they merge with the fiery, eyed wheels of Ezekiel — great turning rings of flame, the calm axis upon which the whole machinery of heaven revolves.
