Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes,
67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer.

- scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault:
slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site
links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables
rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion
  list plus a privacy guard.
- tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and
aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note
(capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages
list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other
pages get a Related Knowledge block.
- Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never
displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid
diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

# Carnelian
> *The ember does not debate whether to burn.*
---
## The Stone
Carnelian is chalcedony flushed with iron into the warm colours of a low fire — orange, rust, and glowing red, sometimes clear and sometimes clouded, often shading from pale apricot to deep brick within a single stone. Held to the light it glows like stained glass with a candle behind it. The ancients loved it: Egyptians set it in jewellery and tomb amulets, Romans carved it into signet rings because hot wax would not stick to its surface, and it turns up in the sacred ornaments of many old cultures wherever vitality was the thing to be invoked.
There is heat in it, plainly. Carnelian looks like courage looks — bright, direct, unhesitating — and it feels warm to the intention even when cool to the touch.

## Properties
Carnelian fires the [sacral](/knowledge/chakras/svadhisthana) centre, the wellspring of creativity, passion, and vital force. It is the stone of courage and motivation — a restorer of drive to the depleted and a kindler of confidence in the timid. It stirs creative and sexual energy, banishes the apathy that keeps good work unstarted, and lends the boldness to act rather than merely intend. Where fear or self-doubt stalls momentum, Carnelian is reached for to get the blood and the will moving again.
## In Practice
Carnelian is carried or worn low on the body to feed vitality and creative drive, and placed on the sacral centre in meditation to unstick a stalled project or a stalled mood. Artists keep it at the workbench; the timid keep it in a pocket before something daunting. It cleanses easily in running water or sunlight, whose warmth suits its fiery nature well.
