Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes, 67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer. - scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault: slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion list plus a privacy guard. - tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note (capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other pages get a Related Knowledge block. - Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

## The Stone
Lapis Lazuli is a rock rather than a single mineral — a deep, saturated ultramarine blue flecked with glinting gold pyrite and threaded with veins of white calcite, so that a good specimen looks like a night sky scattered with stars. Mined for more than six thousand years from the mountains of Afghanistan, it was ground into the most precious pigment of the medieval world, worth more than gold, reserved for the robes of the Virgin in the finest paintings. Tutankhamun’s funeral mask is inlaid with it; the Sumerians carved their seals from it.
No other stone carries quite this weight of history. To hold Lapis is to hold something that ancient astronomers, priests, and pharaohs also held, and prized above almost everything.

## Properties
Lapis is the royal stone of truth and wisdom, working the [third eye](/knowledge/chakras/ajna) and the throat together so that inner knowing and outer speech align. It sharpens intellect and memory, awakens the desire for understanding, and above all encourages honesty — with others and with oneself — helping its bearer speak difficult truths with clarity and authority. Long associated with royalty and the priesthood, it lends a dignity of mind, a sense that one’s words carry weight and ought to be worthy of it.

## In Practice
Lapis is worn at the throat or held during meditation before a hard conversation, to loosen honest speech and steady the voice. Students and thinkers keep it near their work for clarity and focus. It contains pyrite and calcite, so it is cleansed dry rather than in water — moonlight or Selenite suit it best. Its blue is deep enough to reward simply being looked at.
