Publish the Obsidian vault's Knowledge folder as /knowledge (881 notes, 67 folders), with a Knowledge item in the nav and footer. - scripts/import_knowledge.py regenerates data/knowledge from the vault: slugged paths, folder notes as index pages, wikilinks resolved to site links (or plain text), callouts, highlights, and Dataview tables rendered statically. Personal notes are withheld via an exclusion list plus a privacy guard. - tuftecms/core/knowledge.py builds a concept index from note titles and aliases. First mentions on ordinary pages link to their Knowledge note (capped, never in headings, code, links, or sidenotes); Knowledge pages list related notes and where they're mentioned across the site; other pages get a Related Knowledge block. - Knowledge URLs join sitemap.xml (so the sweep test covers them), never displace existing legacy slugs, list alphabetically, and mermaid diagrams render client-side only on pages that have them.

| The rhythm of a thing in motion. What delivers meaning before meaning is understood. | obsidian-knowledge |
Cadence
"Cadence matters more than comprehension."
Cadence is the rhythm of a thing in motion. In music, the harmonic or rhythmic punctuation that resolves or suspends a phrase. In speech, the rise and fall. In writing, the length and breath of sentences. In drumming, the difference between hitting the snare and playing the snare.
The word comes from Latin cadere, "to fall" — from which we also get cascade, decadent, chance. Cadence is what happens when something falls just right.
Why It Matters More Than Comprehension
Comprehension is the claim that meaning has been received. Cadence is what delivers meaning before meaning is understood. A sentence with the wrong cadence can't be saved by clearer phrasing; a sentence with the right cadence can carry a half-formed idea and make it feel whole.
This is why the shape of a thing communicates before the content does — and why a rudiment practiced ten thousand times becomes a way of knowing that the mind cannot author. The body learns the shape of time before the mind understands what it's doing.
In Practice
Pause before the word that matters. Let the sentence breathe. Notice when the rhythm of a paragraph is wrong, even if every word is correct — that's the cadence telling you something the content won't.
