The lockups mostly have to do with the Java VM garbage collecting the Eclipse runtime. There's posts on the net on how to tweak the VM's heap parameters in Eclipse.ini to minimize this. Tweaking the completion preferences also helped.\n\nIn the end I doubled my RAM and that more-less completely eliminated it (you will still see it at startup, because Eclipse has plenty of load-on-demand code, until things get cached and JITed)", "group_id": 95, "id": 278521}] |
